"Ivy , you should talk in private with Toby . I´ll leave you guys alone"

"Before you leave , Cienna . I want to say sorry " I whispered.

"What am I supposed to talk to him about Cienna?"

I gave her a look "You will know what to talk about "


I kept my hands intertwined to Ivanna´s.

I sigh and look at Toby

"I missed you like crazy " I whispered . "I couldn´t get you out of my mind . All this time has helped me to realize I want to spend the rest of my life with you " I looked into her eyes . "I read your letter and I don´t want to love you only as a sister . You know my love is so much greater than that..." I looked into her eyes . I didn´t know why , but I sensed something about her was different.

I left them alone . I sighed , knowing Ivanna would never see me as more than her best friend.

"Toby...I have to show you something...in private"

"There´s more to this, right ? He did something very bad to you , didn´t he ?" I asked suspecting it.

I sat on a bench by the gardens.

I take him and lead him to his room. I lock the door behind me and take off my sunglasses along with the layers showing him the bruises and the burn

I watched horrified at what he had done to her . A burning rage built inside me . He hadn´t only messed with her , he had messed with me too . I knew what I had to do , so I walked toward the door determined to give a lesson to that guy so he would never forget what he had done to her .

"Toby. No. This is why I didn't want to show you. I just-I just need someone to help me through this. I don't know if I can ever go back to being the old me"

I walked back to her and kneeled in front of her "This is all my fault . I shouldn´t have let you walk away from me . ..I ´m going to help you through this , you are not alone . We need to let the police know about this" I slid back some tears.

"No! He said he'd kill me if I told the cops! Please! Don't!"

"Okay , I won´t tell them" I whispered "But, please don´t push me away from you , cause I´m not leaving anywhere"

(( I have an idea . Ivanna could have gotten pregnant from the last night they were together at the club and the husband could have made her miscarry the baby ))

I look at him with tears in my eyes, "I lost our baby"

"What ?! You were pregnant ? " I looked at her with sad eyes.

I nod, "From that last night a few months ago..."

I gritted my teeth "He killed our innocent baby "I ran my fingers softly on her tummy . "Why didn´t you call me to tell me in the condition you were ?"

"He cut off all communications"

"Ivanna . what if we take some days off from school to spend time with mom ? It will help us both to forget about everything for a while... I hate our father . I had a fight with him some days ago . He already knows we are siblings" I let her know.

"Does she still want me?"

"Ivanna, she is our mother . She would never stop loving us , despite we did the worst things in the whole world. She knows you are back . I told her already . You have no idea how much she suffered when you were gone" I took her hands and kissed them.

I sigh and nod before slowly getting dressed

I helped her to get dressed . I pecked her lips "Do you want to say goodbye to Cienna ?" I asked.

I shake my head, "I just wanna see my mom"
